Ecological, Statistical, GIS, Drone, and Remote Sensing Services

Abnova Ecological Solutions is founded on sound ecological science with the ability to choose the proper technologies, sampling methodologies, study designs, and existing data to help our clients find answers to ecological and environmental challenges.  We believe the best answers to ecological questions come from trained and experienced ecologists.  At Abnova, we’re able to adapt our ecological expertise to new technologies best-suited to satisfy various clients’ needs.

Ecological, Sampling, & Study Design Services

At Abnova Ecological Solutions, we're always happy to discuss ecology and develop ways to help answer ecological and environmental questions. We have access to greenhouse facilities to run basic experiments in and are happy to provide consultation to help our clients develop and improve upon sampling methods or study designs to help them better answer questions they may have. We're also happy to provide field training to companies interested in implementing various field methods (see Publication page for some examples of methods Dr. Curran has developed).

Statistical & GIS Services

Abnova's Dr. Curran hold a Graduate Minor in Statistics from University of Wyoming (7 credits shy of having a Master's in Statistics). We're happy to help with statistical analysis or provide advice with data analysis and interpretation to our clients. We're also happy to provide GIS Services (field mapping and computer-based). For example - we have ample experience mapping Ecological Site Descriptions in the field and turning them into computer-based GIS products. We're also able to utilize GIS to help focus field sampling efforts or to assist with making management decisions related to development. If you need help optimizing routes to reduce time and costs of field monitoring, please reach out.

Drone & Remote Sensing Services

Dr. Curran holds an FAA Part 107 Small Unmanned Aircraft Pilot's License and has developed methods utilizing drones for reclamation and rangeland monitoring. We are able to optimize drone routes to reduce time and maximize dollars spent, and we understand when and where to implement various sensors and drone models. We are able to provide volumetric measurements, high resolution maps, and monitor wildlife with our drones. Furthermore, we have the ability to use existing maps for remote sensing analysis to help understand primary productivity, delineate Ecological Sites, and guide on-the-ground management.
